Taylor is the daughter of Kim and David Dowdy. She graduated from MTSU with her Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education and a teaching certification. Taylor is currently teaching Pre-K for MNPS.

Elijah is the grandson of Carolyn and Mark Brumley. He graduated from MTSU with his Bachelor's degree in Computer Science. Elijah is currently working as a software engineer for DG.

Our Love Story

First Meet

January 2022

Taylor and Elijah met while attending MTSU at Rutledge Hall. Taylor worked at the front desk of Elijah's dorm. They would both talk to their friend, Reece, while Taylor worked the desk, and eventually they started talking to each other even when Reece wasn't there. Fun Fact: Rutledge Hall is now an office space for MTSU employee's.

First Date

February 2022

After weeks of talking, Taylor wanted to go on a 10 mile hike together 3 hours away. Elijah suggested they should start small, so they went on a breif hike at Table Top in the Harpeth River State Park in Kingston Springs, TN. The hike was followed by a dinner at O'Charley's and the rest is history.

Proposal

April 2025

3 years passed by, then Elijah purchased a ring to propose to Taylor. Days after asking her parents for their blessing, he planned a hike to Greeter Falls where she said yes! This hike was also followed by a dinner at O'Charley's.

Engagement

Current

Taylor and Elijah are enjoying their engagement. They got a dog, a cat, and moved to a new city. Taylor is enjoying wedding planning and Elijah is enjoying building this website.

You will have received an invitation addressed to you. Plus one’s have been allocated for each invite, but if you have additional members in your party over the set limit please reach out and let us know. If you did not receive an invite, it could have been due to mailing errors. Please reach out to us, or we will reach out to you between July 1st and August 30th.

July 1st is the preferred deadline, and if we do not receive a response by August 30th we will assume your answer is no. Between July 1st and August 30th we will try to contact you if we have not received a response.
No, but Uber/Lyft will pick up and drop off at the venue from Murfreesboro. Additionally, carpooling is encouraged.
There is plenty of parking at the venue. If needed, cars can stay overnight, but have to be picked up ASAP in the early morning (ie: 8am). Uber/Lyft is available if needed.
The ceremony and cocktail hour are planned to be outside. The dinner and reception will be indoors. If rain occurs, all festivities will be under a covered area.
Thirty minutes before the start of the ceremony (3:30pm CST).

Drinks and appetizers: 4:30pm
Reception and dinner: 5:45pm

There will be instructions on the day of, but family members will be asked to stay for photos while everyone else will enjoy drinks and appetizers at the cocktail hour space.
Yes, we will have an open beer and wine bar while supplies last. There will also be water, soda, lemonade, and sweet tea.
Yes. There will be many dairy free options and some gluten free options. If you have a food allergen, please let us know. The food for the main dinner will be marked for allergens.
Please do not take photos or videos during the ceremony. Feel free to take photos at any other time. Before and after the ceremony, there will be plenty of photo ops.
Yes, the main ceremony area is paved, but the parking lot is gravel. If you require any accommodations, please let us know.
